Economic assessment

The strategy is accompanied by an economic assessment. This assessment provides the evidence base for the Economic Strategy and provides supporting for the Joint Core Strategy. It has been prepared in advance of the requirement, under the review of the sub-national economic development and regeneration (SNR), for upper-tier authorities to prepare an economic assessment of the local area. Norfolk County Council is the upper tier local authority for Norfolk. This assessment of Greater Norwich covers the local authority area of Broadland, Norwich and South Norfolk. It will feed into the countywide assessment that is being prepared by the county’s economic development partnership, Shaping Norfolk’s Future. It was produced in August 2009 and will be updated on a regular basis.
